Saturday 5/18/2013 – 1957 and 1958 I had the Honor to serve with the Navy Ceremonial Guard, then stationed at the Naval Receiving Station in Anacostia, VA across the Patomic River from Washington, D.C.
It was a Great Honor for me to be choosen one of the 4 Navy Cerimonial Guardsmen to be on the combined
Armed Forces Drill Team under the command of an Army Sgt. We practiced for a month or more to go on the Gary Moore I’ve Got a Secret Show in New York City May 14, 1958 Armed Forces Week. In New York we were temporarly stationed on Governor’s Island Army Base. On the I’ve Got a Secret Show we all performed our drill to perfection with not one mistake as we had dressed up Springfield Rifles with long crome plated bayonets and tossed the Rifles tumbling in order through the air to another Drill Team Member
across the stage as I caught the tumbling Rifle that was tossed to me. Not one mistake – it was a Great Drill. Afterward we went back to Governor’s Island and had some free time, so I took a Subway Train to New York City to see the sights. On my way back to Governors Island by Subway Train I missed my get off stop and ended up in Brooklyn and had to come back to the Governor’s Island exit. The reason we didn’t make one mistake in the Drill on the I’ve Got a Secret Show was that we were INTENT in our month long Practice and INTENT on making a good show. I was 18 years old – and on the I’ve go a Secret Show I had the Great Prevlege and Honor to meet one of the Soldiers who raised our Flag on Mt Serabochie on Iwo during World War II – he was an American Indian. I am Proud to be an American. I am now 72 – Seems as though I turned around from those days when I was 18 years old and now I am 72. Most important is: know that your Lifetime is like vapor that appears for a short time and then vanishes away compared to all Eternity. Jesus said: I am the way, the truth and the life. No man cometh to the father but by me. That means if you Believe in and ask Jesus to be your Savior you will be in Heaven with Jesus for all Eternity after the end of your Lifetime.

I was the Sargeant in charge of the combined members of the Army, Marines, Navy and Air Force Drill Team that performed on the May 14, 1958 episode of “I’ve Got A Secret” (Week 309) as one unit on Armed Forces Day. I would love to be able to view that episode. A reply would be appreciated. I was a member of the 3rd Infantry U.S Army Honor Guard “The Old Guard” stationed at Ft. Myer, Arlington Virginia.

My grandfather was on the show. All I know is his name was Revard Davis from Oklahoma. His secret was he had been married to twenty different women. Two of them he married twice. I really would appreciate any help locating this episode. I want to buy it and surprise my family. Thank you

I am looking for the episode airing on 12/10/1958 (week 339) featuring Anne Brusselmans and men that she helped to rescue during WWII. Can this be uploaded? My grandfather is one of the men that was on this show.

Can you upload IGAS episode aired on 2/11/63 onto YouTube for me? This episode includes my mother, Deanne Barkley, who was an IGAS staff member who’s secret was that she returned to the show after having triplets (me, my sister and brother). My mother recently passed away at 82 and I would love to share the episode with siblings. Thank You.

My father, Sidney Reznick, was a writer on I’ve Got a Secret in 1962-1963. He had previously written for Garry Moore’s variety show (the one with Carol Burnett and Durward Kirby). I remember vividly when my brother Robert and I appeared on the Christmas show 12/24/62. One of the secrets was a musician who had the children of the staff play classical music on what appeared to be toys. The day after the show was on, a cab driver actually recognized Robert and me. My father left the show to become a writer with the Jackie Gleason variety show, the one with the American Scene Magazine. The other thing I remember was my father being really impressed with at least two of the other writers: David Seltzer, who was just starting out and then became an important film writer and Judy Crichton, first from the success of her husband’s novel “The Secret of Santa Vittoria” and then as a documentarian on her own, including “The American Experience” on PBS.

I did request the 10-8-1958 I’ve Got A Secret Show. I viewed it as my request was granted but that wasn’t the show that aired on that date. What YouTube aired was the rehersal for the show. Do you have the original show that aired? Thank You.
